Default Cheap Weapon Lights For Fall/Winter Night Shoots?

Who watches 704 Tactical on youtube? He does a lot of videos on cheap amazon red dots but doesn't cover budget weapon lights very often. I do almost entirely night shoots in the fall and winter so I'm interested in a cheap weapon light or two so I don't have to keep switching my TLR1HL from gun to gun. Anyone else? I may buy a few of them and do a series of videos.

To be clear, I'm talking about functional range toys. I'm not expecting a $40 light with an absurd brand like SECURITYING written on the side of it to replace my TLR1HL on my 500 for home defense.

    Nebo 190.

Also keep an eye out for Olight flash sales. Last time they had their picatinny mounted light for $60.

Black Friday is right around the corner. You’ll find something pretty decent for cheap then

I've had my eye on the PL2. 1200 lumens would allow me to stretch it out at the range with my AR or PC carbine and I like the activation. The problem though is that I need to buy 5.56 and 9mm ammo so I'd love to get a less expensive light for range use. I'm probably going to the PL2 soon anyway though.

    I really like the PL-2.
I got 2 for $130 a month or so ago and they’re much better than the old Insight M3’s I’m used to.
Are there night matches somewhere in SWPA? I shoot IDPA style matches regularly.

Absolutely the PL2 is a beast. Better than the TRL1 in my opinion, but I don't have the HL.

So you know the PL2 will not fit the PC carbine picatinny rail because of the swivel stud. It's the one thing Ruger screwed up on it... Needs to be back another half inch.

I removed the swivel on the handguard. My carbine has a 90 degree angled rail and a fixed sling loop behind it on that rail section. I put my light on the side. I'd love to get the Parker Mountain Machine handguard but they're out of stock until late November apparently.

Just remember: actual IDPA matches don't permit weapon lights, only hand-held.

Where is the logic in that?
