A friend of mine who fought for eight years to save his foot after a MC accident, had to have an amputation. After the amputation and a prosthetic, he said that, had he know the pain would have gone away, he would have had it cut off eight years ago.

If I wasn't flown to Hahnemann , it most likely would not have been an issue. I'd either be dead , or wearing a pirate peg.

Since Hahnemann is a university or teaching hospital , I basically became a guinea pig for the orthopedics class. I was visited almost everyday by a dozen or more orthopedic surgeons and students.

First of is that your brother will be many peoples including my prayers. I also ride. Wrecked my Road King in 2016 and suffered a broken leg that now has a plate, a tie wire and 13 screws. I was lucky. I also was CCing. My Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry never left my holster. My holster has road rash but still use it. The Kimber had road rash but only the grip laser was ground off, replaced grips. I could still walk on the broken leg so I climbed into the ambulance on my own. There I unloaded the Kimber and had the EMT place it in my jacket pocket. Nothing was ever said to the state trooper. Again lucky. I was 2 out of 3 in the luck department.

Speedy recovery and best wishes to your brother!
