    Default Tapco Ak 47 Mags

Has anyone here used these mags. I came across another forum that a guy posted that the springs are too weak and they don't always feed the last couple rounds.

Postive or negative feedback would be appreciated.

Can't review em, as no plastic or composite comes near my AK. Metal, wood, leather... Thats it. AK mags should be steel. They're cheap, efficient, and easy to repair.

Tapco has replacement followers that hold the bolt open when empty. I've been waiting to hear how they hold up, if they're plastic, etc.

I've used Tapco's 7.62x39 magazines and can firmly say they know what they're doing and work fine. I believe there were some issues in the very first run but they have since been corrected.

I got three tapco ak mags. They all work fine, don't wobble too much. They were a bit too tight at first but they wore their way in. I suspect peoples problems while using the mags are not a result of the mags themselves, but the fact that all of the AKs that make their way into the US have slightly different tolerances when it comes to the mag wells.

And for the record, they have been used in 2 different WASR 10 Romanians, and an Arsenal. But you can't go wrong with steel...

I have 3 30 rounders, and 6 20 rounders (got them at a super good price). They all function well, having run some rounds thgouth them. The 20 rounders fit was tight and required some scraping with a knife to get them to fit in the magwell (zero wobble here) and fiure after some use they should ease up a bit.

Ive seen drop tests where they will shear off the mag catch when dropped, but if you are looking for them for the range, dont drop it

Other than that, look for some Hungarian tanker mags... best by far.

Got a link? They do not have them listed on their webpage.

A buddy of mine has a bunch of them. Hasn't had any problems with them as far as I know. But he hasn't run them hard or anything.

I petty much stick to steel.

Aim surplus has Bulgarian steel mags for $8 right now. I'd do those instead if it were me.

If you have to have full capacity, then go with the cheap bulgarian steel. If you want 20 rounders, search out hungarian tankers, or go with the tapco offering.
