    Default Sunday Hunting

    https://www.facebook.com/HuntersUnit...type=1&theater

Posted from the Hunters for SUnday HUnting Facebook Page.

If you believe the prohibition on Sunday Hunting in PA needs to be removed from our Game Law....here's your chance to take action. Attend this meeting. Let our lawmakers see how much support is out there for this change. We'll let them know we do vote....and we'll vote out those who won't support this change.

Please join me at 2001 Elmerton Avenue Harrisburg PA on Sunday at 1pm. If you want the PGC to have the authority to review what/when might be hunted on Sunday, you need to make this commitment. If you don't attend....this may not succeed. We need you there!!

Heading to the Capitol to Participate. This is an Antiquated and Unconstitutional Prohibition. Origin of this Unconstitutional "Blue" law was based on Religious belief to restrict all activity except church going on Sunday. It also retards economic growth in a Billion dollar industry. You can Gamble at a Casino, Buy Booze, Go to an Adult Gift Store, and every other type of "Sinful" activity on Sunday. You can Fish, Hike, Bike, Boat and Swim on PA's public lands on Sunday. BUT YOU CAN NOT HUNT?? and spend wholesome family time afield?? EVEN ON YOUR OWN PRIVATE LAND??? It is time to end this prohibition. This prohibition affects NON-Hunters as well, especially in terms of preventing economic opportunities that would come with Sunday Hunting.

Let us remember what happened with semi-auto hunting. They will just send out another "survey".

Yep, and then they'll come back with some compromise that no one is satisfied with like Sunday hunting on state game lands only.
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

Actually, I'd be satisfied with this, haha. Only because I don't have private land to hunt on near where I'm currently living.

Please check out these links. You know how political pressure works. We MUST continue to press our elected representatives to acknowledge this issue in the PA Senate.

This Senate bill was introduced by Daniel Laughlin (R) from Erie, but it is ALSO co-sponsored by Senator James Brewster (D) from Pittsburgh Area and Senator Sarif Street (D) from Philly. So BOTH REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRAT SUPPORT.

This Bill has plenty of Support in the Senate but it must first get out of Committee. The pressure MUST MUST MUST be turned up on the Senators in the State Game and Fisheries Committee.

SPECIFICALLY the CHAIR of that committee. Patrick J. Stefano. Stefano is a Republican and a MAJOR roadblock to this Bill coming out of committee and brought to the General Assembly.

There was a spokesman from the Tom Wolf administration that explained the Governor also supports this bill. Wolf will definitely Sign this Bill.

The NRA was there as well as NUMEROUS hunting organizations.

THERE IS PLENTY OF SUPPORT FOR THIS BILL. WE - The Citizens of PA- JUST HAVE TO DO THE LEG WORK.

Senate Bill 1202 is in committee, It is important to contact your PA State Senators and let them know this is an important issue. It is not just about our own hunting passion, providing more time to get youth involved in hunting, it is about economic growth, and financial support for our North American Conservation model. We all know that non-hunters also benefit from our Hunting conservation. It is important to participate in the idea of popular sovereignty and make sure our elected leaders hear our voices on this issue.
