Do you expect politicians to actually know the current laws?
This is an attempt to negate LTCF holders from carrying their firearms plain and simple.

Just goes to prove with progressives it's never enough. Ltcf holders are back ground checked, pay a fee and registered in a system... Everything they call for but once again it's still not enough. Time to go tell these people to pound sand..

And to specify exactly where to pound it...

Here's the link to the actual act as it was referred to the judiciary on Sept 26th. Some choice wording makes it a bit confusing as to how it pertains to LTCF holders, they seem to mention them twice.

    Greetings,

Would someone who understands this a bit more please help me to clarify this portion of the bill?

"The provisions of this section shall
not apply to persons excepted from the requirement of a license
to carry firearms under section 6106(b)(1), (2), (5) or (6)
(relating to firearms not to be carried without a license) nor
shall the provisions of this section be construed to permit
persons to carry firearms in a vehicle where such conduct is
    prohibited by section 6106"

It *seems* to me to honor a PA LTCF, but I'm not certain. I'd like to figure this out prior to contacting my (recently flipped to anti) congress critter. Thanks much!!!

    Regards, Jim

    No.
The only thing this bill does is make it illegal for a LTCF to carry a loaded gun in a vehicle.

I’m hoping to see this covered soon by Adam Kraut on his weekly legal brief video on the Gun Collective youtube channel.

What's the point of the bill if it doesn't ban LCTF holders from carrying loaded firearms in a vehicle? There already is a law that bans anyone from carrying a firearm, loaded or not, in a vehicle without a LTCF. There are some exceptions but they are very limited. I suspect that language was purposely created that way to confuse everyone including lawmakers that generally vote pro second amendment.

Never underestimate how stupid so called “law makers” really are. NJ banned bumpstocks recently and spoke about it as if was a huge victory, the only issue was they were already banned there under several different other laws.

Never let facts get in the way of good emotional useless legislation.
