Removal of the front strap cut out is a good thing. Calling it 45 made me think it was 45acp. The whole concept is really just a commander. Any move toward a 1911 is closer to perfection. Now when will they offer a rounded slide?

Re: What do u think of the new G45?
Reality is that people will buy it , glock throws out the same old same old stuff all the time with slight changes and always seems to make more money ,someone will buy it. I have two glocks they are not my favorite pistols .,but they go bang. I have no need for this one.

Re: What do u think of the new G45?
For years I wished Glock would offer a "Commander" version of their G17. That is a G17 frame fitted with a G19 slide and barrel assembly. They never did so I traded my G19 for a G17. No sooner had I done that and out comes the G19X and now the G45. Nuts to them! I need another 9mm pistol like a hole in the head! The only reason I'm shooting 9mm is because the arthritis in my hands makes extend work with .45 ACP painful.

If I didn’t just buy a gen 5 Glock 17 then I would have bought this. I love the g17 grip and the g19 slide (aka a 4” barrel) is perfect for me. No stupid magwell cut, and the front slide serrations help when you have to unload your gun while catching your chambered round leaving the ejection port. To me this is the crown jewel of the Glock lineup.

Hard pass...
The Gen5 MOS looks sexy as hell. Forward serrations aslways do it for me....I don't watch shark week. Sharks watch FLICK week.

Re: What do u think of the new G45?
I will preface this by saying, i'm not a Glock guy. I have had a few over the years, and I am forced to carry one 40 hours a week, but not a gun a would choose for myself. That being said, when the 19X came out, I had to have it. As others have said, it is the Commander revisited, and it also reminds me much of my Sig 320 Carry and the S&W M&P's with the full frame and a 4" barrel. It in fact is just about exactly the same size as all of those. I HATED finger grooves, and ridding the gun of them helps a lot. I haven't even held the 45, but I did get my 19X, and I find it as good as a Glock is ever going to get for me. The grip angle is still all wrong. What I am hoping to see is the Lone Wolf hybrid frame in this setup. I have a 17 with a Lone Wolf frame and that corrects much of the grip angle issues. That might be close as good as a Glock could be, but you'll never see that from Glock.
