Default Any of you western PA shooters following this one?

Robinson township trying to shut down a gun club/range that's been around for 50 plus years.

We've been "following" this circus for a decade or more.

Greater Pittsburgh Gun Club, for those who have no idea what this thread is about and don't want to watch the video.

That my friend; will depend on who you ask, during what time period they used to shoot there, and who was running the place at the time that they shot there, etc....

It may have "been around" 50 years, but only very very sporadically for the last 15 or so. I used to shoot there back in the early 2000's. It was an OK place to shoot. One of the longer rifles ranges in the area and one of the few places open to the public. The time period in which I shot there, it was rather run down and could have used a lot of work. I understand that the most recent owner did a bit to refurbish the place.

I joined this forum in 2007. I found PAFOA by doing a Google search for Greater Pittsburgh Gun Club after having gone there with a friend a year or so (a guess) prior.

I assume it closed some time shortly after I had been there. At the time, the place looked pretty shabby.
I believe Tex was there at that time.

That's my only experience with the place. Everything else I "know" about the place is just stuff I've read online, so I don't really know what's true and what's a rumor.

I know that many long time members here probably do know a lot and know what is and isn't true.

I just hope that it can rise from the ashes again.

It does sound like a raw deal and monkey business. Unfortunately the townships get to play these games and don't have to pay the legal fees of the little guy when he wins, otherwise they might not engage in such activities.

This would be within the supposedly 2A-friendly Wash Cty limits.
Regardless, somone wants tract housing builders like Maronda or Ryan to sweep in an throw up more housing plans.
