Washington County Tactical Range is located in Donegal Township, Washington County. After we built the range in April 2015, the township supervisors used us as one example of why the township needed zoning. Without putting the question on the ballot for the locals to decide, the township supervisors started the process to implement zoning and were at the final stages of getting zoning approved when the Pro Freedom Group (aka anti-zoning locals) held a special election in 2017 to increase the number of township supervisors from 3 to 5, then in Nov 2017 the Pro Freedom Group won 4 of the 5 seats that were on the ballot. In June 2018, the zoning proposal was abolished by the new board.

Point being, if you don't like what is happening in your township, do something about it. The citizens of Donegal Township did not want the government involved in their everyday lives with zoning, so they replaced the board with like-minded citizens.
