Norinco 1911 price check
Hello all. I was at the LGS today and they had a Norinco 1911 in rough cosmetic shape for $320. I did not handle the gun. The slide had some significant pitting from rust but it had been cleaned and re-blued. Everything else looked OK but, as I said, I didn't handle the pistol. I did not se anything else untoward besides the rust/pitting. If I could get the gun for $300 OTD, is that a decent deal? I've heard those Norincos are reliable and tough 1911s. Any thoughts?

ZENITHS Blued start at $ 389 and $ 429 SS . Both models have great finish and fit ! I have been leaning this way since I cant find a used Ruger Commander !

I probably wouldn't do $300 for one in that bad of shape.

Pass. They're good guns but not hard to find in like new condition for $500. If you want one, pay another 50% for a good example.

Littlefitz,
Do you have a gun broker account? If so, do this:
1)advanced search
2)completed items
3)fire arms
4) choose state( PA or just use the whole US)
5) sort by “most bids”
6) Viola! you will have the state average price or the average for the whole US ( on GB anyway)
Rob at Armslist Media had 2 great reviews of Norinco 1911s on YouTube, however Youtube seems to have disappeared the entire ArmsList Media Channel
I’d inspect the gun of course, but I’m inclined to say $300 OTD is a good deal. Norinoco 1911s are some of the best made for the price and compared more favorably than Colt 1911s of the same era. Also I believe all Norincos of that era are series 70. They are true 1911s and any and all parts for Colts should work if anything needs tuning or replacing.

If it's the 5" barrel with that damage I'd pass. If it's commander length might be worth it, there were only 500 inported.
