She said it wasn't funny anymore. I told her I never meant for it to be funny. It was access to my stand.

To quote her " I don't give a shit if you fall off and kill yourself. I just don't want you breaking your fucking neck so I'd have to wipe your ass for the rest of your life"

    It must be love.

This was a few days ago.

That was 2 days ago about 12 yards from my stand at 645 AM.
I was up there this morning from 530 till 11. No action.

I have seen no daylight deer since the first day 8 point I decided to pass on.
I've been out a out a half dozen times but only in the mornings.
It'll be low 60s this afternoon so I believe il give it a try.
Bugs haven't been too bad but I have have a mosquito net.

My season so far is in this pic.

"Waiting, waiting, waiting. Waiting for the sun"
    And hopefully deer.
The backyard bucks number about 8 to 10 with 4 legal bucks. One is a 9 point but not a wide rack.
I would likely take him or a 7 if given the shot.

Tomorrow, I'm heading out to Avella for a quick look around. If anything looks promising, I may hunt there Monday or Tuesday.

    More later

All of you have a great hunting season. My freezer is full already with the cow elk I took on the 15th. I have no need for more meat, so I can take it easy this year.

Man. Good for you. Congrats on the elk.

I'll be on and off with getting into a tree.

How about a brief run down of your hunt?

Where, what day did you score, shot distance?
All the good stuff to make the rest of us wanna do it .

I operated out of Cheyenne on a private ranch on the Wyoming/Colorado border. I’ve used this outfitter 3 times now and have never been let down yet. It was a 4 day cow hunt and we were playing tag with elk all week. It was stinking hot, 85, 86 everyday. They would feed all night and head to their hiding/shade area to get away from us and the heat. Nearly got a crack at them Tuesday, 450 yards running, 1 bull, 3 cows, 3 calves and bunched together. No ethical shot, let them run. Wednesday caught them bedding down and put a stoke on, got busted by the wind. Thursday morning we had a good idea where they were and it paid off. 1 bull, 6 cows and 4 calves traveling thru. Got behind them with wind in or face and got within 80 freaking yards. 1 shot from a 264 win mag and cow went straight down. Word of caution, 143 grain Hornady ELD-X bullet blew up at 3100 FPS, I’m going back to Nosler AccuBond.
If I were smart enough to post pic I would. I’m already planning on going back next year with this same outfitter for Mulies and pronghorn again. If anyone wants outfitters name, send private message. He can be found at the Great American Outdoor show in Harrisburg. Good hunting to you all.

My wife says if you have too much elk she would be glad to help you get rid of some.

This is me beating streaker69 to the hunting spot this morning. He was towing his red ryder deer cart.

I only saw two doe around 7am. Left the woods at 3pm. Saw one deer being drug out but I couldn't tell what it was from my tree stand.
