    Default EFR build for me

Recently I finally finished one for me, I was collecting parts for this for almost a year. I have a ton of 7.62x39 rifle ammo and since I really don't care for the AK platform I put together I nice Ar that uses Ak mags . I started with a Billet Rifle Systems upper and PSA lower, added a stainless steel fluted 1x10 twist barrel and went from there. The optic is a Bushnell 1x4 illuminated scope that a customer traded me for some cerakote work. I used a Midwest Industries quick detach mount, and a Strike Industries muzzle brake and then some art work. Now some pics.

Interesting build. I wasn't aware of another upper that works with the PSA KS47 lower. How well does it function? Any issues with certain mags? I ask because I put together a PSA KS47 for my wife a couple of years ago and her rifle likes some mags, but won't function with others. She also has a problem where the mags can be over-inserted and there's not enough clearance between the bolt and the magazines. That causes the bolt to drag or get hung up on the magazine. The fix is to install a screw to prevent the mags from going too far in, but that doesn't solve some of the mag incompatibility.

Did you use the BRS47 bolt with their upper, or the PSA bolt?

guys feel free to contact me at the shop giving you prices here on the forum is a rules violation. On a side note I have multiple offers to buy this one already but this one is mine it's not for sale. The refinishing can be done on your rifles.

Magul mags work without issues , some metal mags work. I prefer the Magul mags any how from a refinishing and function viewpoint. This is not an Ak , I have had other AR setups in this caliber that used the modified ar style metal mags some worked great some did not. One other thing I do not load the mags to full caapcity, I load two rounds less the actual capacity, much easier to seat the loaded mag. The bolt is a PSA and the only issue was some light primer hits which I corrected with a heavier hammer spring. So far so good no problem . I have spent a lot of time on BRS's site, I like there full rifle build , I will most likely buy one of their offerings in the future. I will shoot this for now and report back any problems Right now I have a little over 350 round count so it is to early to tell if I will have any issues.

Hey Brian is your shop more of just a work shop or is there also a store front to come look and kick around in?

I have cerakoted firearms on display everyday with a few for sale ,plus you can take a look at what I am working on. I am not a conventional gun store, I coat firearms for 29 shop in eight states and for online customers across the USA. I do cater to online shoppers and handle those transfers 6 days week. I have some more pics coming of another 5 or 6 that just recently did,I will post those shortly.

That looks fantastic.(I'm highly critical of "custom" paint jobs, as many are not all that great)My 7.62x39 uses a standard AR lower and I'm really glad I built it.I want to camo mine as well, but I'll have to settle for rattle can quality. Ha.
