Received recent notice from the state Fraternal Order of Police, which read, in part:

At the 2018 PA FOP Biennial State Conference, approximately 450 delegates from
lodges throughout Pennsylvania convened in Harrisburg. During the conference, our
delegates voted unanimously to endorse Tom Wolf for a second term as
    Pennsylvania’s Governor.

They can endorse all they want, doesn't mean he'll get the votes.

Just a post to ponder some of the dynamics involved.

Like everything in communications, information can turn people on and people off. Cop haters may be influenced away. People who appreciate what police do, may be persuaded by them.

Well, we need to get up off our asses and vote. Being categorized as a communist, Maoist, socialist, or whatever is a badge of honor to them. We have to put in as much as, or even more energy this time around than in 2016. Less than that and we've failed.

So as member of the democratic party he is not entirely our friend as his party tells him he must toe their line on adding restrictions. I notice he ducked the assault weapon issue by saying it is a national issue instead of wasting his time on it in a state where it will not pass in a meaningful way. Astute move there. Wolf knows he is in a state where much of his party agenda is toxic, so he appears willing to play the game of mouthing the party line while actually focusing on issues he thinks are more relevant.
