Default Vortex Diamondback spotting 20-60x80 opinions and reviews

    Anyone running that spotting scope?

Here is my plan and context.

In the last 12 months I have spent more than I ever have in shooting gear, guns, scopes, ammo etc... So the razor gen 2 is out of the question for 2018.
I got 3 upcoming 500M outings with my custom .308, spotting scope will be to see bullet holes and/or splash on steel, and not to make shot corrections.
My current scope on my 308 is the razor gen ll 4.5-27x56, I am aware I will be losing apochromatic glass when looking in the spotter.
Income tax return 2019, if I am unsatisfied with diamondback spotter, will get a razor gen ll spotter and sell the diamondback on the EE with 3 range trips only behind it.
If I find one on the EE already, loses will be minimal.

Those who have looked through it, can a diamondback spotter see 30 cal holes at 500?

Not sure on feedback but I believe AA optics has refurbished one available at a nice cost savings. These stop have lifetime warranty etc

I use the angled Diamondback 20-60x80, shooting .223 mostly. I can see the bullet holes pretty well at 100 yards, but I sometimes lose one in the black. At 200 yards, it's difficult (at best) to impossible to see the holes, especially on a black bullseye. At 300 yards, forget it. I haven't used it with a .30 cal at the longer ranges, but I wouldn't expect much better results.
