    There will certainly be heat on the city to criminally charge her. ....shooting a man, in his lawful place of abode, on HER error in placement and judgment. ..Yeah, manslaughter is certainly appropriate.

    The thing is, there shouldn't need to be heat placed upon the city to criminally charge her, it should just be done because that's what the justice system is supposed to be about. It's unfortunate that it's really come down to people with torches and pitchforks storming the city to get them to do what's right. Of course, this is a case where torches and pitchforks would be appropriate, so many other cases, not so much.

    No torches and pitchforks needed. The officer is charged with manslaughter.
