What is YOUR favorite pistol? Why?

I'll start ...

I have revolvers, and semi's of multiple calibers, but MY favorite is my mouse-gun Beretta Bobcat .22 - for some reason, it always goes to the range with me - I just enjoy shooting it. Cheap ammo, reasonably accurate (with limited sights) and just a hoot for me to shoot. I have target .45's that get regular workouts, and other more substantial guns that get carried much more often, but I always come back to this one. I just like it.

If I have to pick one, It's my S & W 6 inch 357 "Highway Patrolman".
Carried it at work for a lot of years.
It's truly a "hammer", a real workhorse.
The plain finish was easy to take care of.
It was one on my duty guns, while on the motors.
Neither rain or snow, or dark of night, would stay this revolver from it's appointed rounds.
It was built on the old 38/44 model.
Same frame as the 44 mag, with some interchangeable parts, hammer, trigger etc.
Never missed a lick, eat whatever I put through it.
Used it a a "testbed" for 357 handloads.
Not as fancy as my Python, but it held up under the most adverse conditions.

Sig Sauer all stainless SBSS p220. If I run out of boolits I can beat an attacker with it.

What is YOUR favorite pistol? Why?

The answer to this question has changed over the years. When I started shooting back in the mid 80s, my favorite pistol was my Browning Hi-Power. Loved the gun, fit my hand perfectly, shot it good, worked perfectly for me. I chose the Hi-Power because the hero in a book series that I read carried one, so I had to have one. Turned out to be a great choice for me.

When I went into Law Enforcement, my agency issued SIG pistols. My favorite gun at the time was my P226 9mm or P220 .45, both served as my duty guns, these were the guns that I would depend on to protect myself and those that I was sworn to protect. At the end of my time in law enforcement, the SIG P239 9mm became my off-duty gun - I loved that gun. VERY reliable, fit my hand perfectly, and a shooter. Great gun, my all time favorite SIG.

In 2005, I switched to the Glock system, specifically the Glock 19. The story of why I switched is long, and I won't get into it here, but I did the switch. Since then the 19 has been my EDC gun (except for 2016 and 2017 when I played around with two different single column 9mms) Still the 19 is my favorite gun today, I have had a few of them (15+ Gen 3s, 3 Gen 2s, and 10+ Gen 4s), different Gens, different colors, different features, etc...

So my answer, today; the Glock 19. Specifically the Gen 4 Front Slide Serrations model. In addition to those listed, I have owned MANY other handguns over the years, but those have been my favorites.

S&W model 629 6inch 44 mag just fun to shoot and I reload so you can always power down when you want to.

Feels right, One I can shoot the most accurately. One of my first. Looks pretty too, high polish blue.
