What is YOUR favorite pistol? Why?

My father's 1911 - stainless Series 80 Colt Gold Cup National Match. It was the first large caliber handgun I ever fired, and has been my personal favorite for over 30 years now. I've shot very few 1911's that shoot as well or as effortlessly in my hands as it does. I'm sure there are better 1911's out there, but this is the one that just calls to me. It's more sentimental than anything else. Every time I'm at his house, I root through his safe and take it to the range for some 'exercise'.

Though it's understood that I'll get all his toys when he dies, this one is specifically mentioned in his will for me - and I hope I never get it.

As for what's in MY safe? Current favorite is the 7" AR pistol. For some reason I just grin like the Cheshire cat anytime I fire it.

My favorite is my Beretta Cougar 8040. Fits my hand real well,shoots well and I like the .40
Plus to me it’s a great looking handgun!

My Sig Sauer 1911 TACOPS 5" 45Cal.. It fits perfect to my hand, it shoots great, feels great..
Once I find a nice IWB holster I will carry it more.. right now it is my go to OWB and in colder months under my jacket

My S&W SD9... the one gun in my collection that has never NEVER NEVER let me down with a FTF, stovepipe, FTE...

CZ75 P-01 by far!! Most accurate, best fitting, most comfortable, and so naturally now the most used pistol in my collection. A little smaller than my CZ75B, so it carries easier . . . but heavy enough not to have accuracy and fun suffer from recoil. Proven extremely reliable in NATO tests and also in my own ~5k rounds without a hiccup. Has a rail allowing a centrally mounted laser which is essential for me and my eyes. Basic black, comfy and secure rubber grips, wouldn't change a thing.

My 1917 vintage commercial Colt. It was Grampa's, then Dad's and now mine. Grampa and Dad were competitive Bullseye shooters and this pistol has seen a lot of rounds. Grampa was the one the bobbed the hammer and had the Patridge front soldered on. That killed any collector value, but no matter... It's priceless to me.
