As I said they have worked it out so they have steady supply of Bill payers walking through the door. You leave to find a new doctor and the call that guy who has been waiting and bring him in at your allotted time. And if you don't cancel because you have moved on to another doctor, you will be billed for not showing up and wasting the system time.
A doctor's visit is not just a doctor's visit. It is the medical system. Nurses doctors, maintenance staff, diagnostics, the whole enchalada of people who cowtoe to policies and to divy up your copay.troll Free. It's all in your mind.

Was your firearm printing that significantly? If not it seems a little ironic that the LPN assumed it was a firearm. I have done the workplace violence training at my hospital job and it didn't go into printing/ locating issues. Maybe it should have. Granted some people look for trouble because they think no gun zones are safe and effective.

Hard to keep up with all the different state laws. In Florida, it's a third degree felony to carry in a hospital. Here, you can carry in a hospital (subject to private property restrictions) or a bar and even drink but not in FL.
As I am back an forth a lot, it's easy to lose track so I tend to follow the stricter guidelines.

I casual carry to my doc's office. I normally see his PA, who pocket carries a Kel-Tec .380, and the other staff I've dealt with didn't bat an eye when I told them I had it when I needed an EKG for a checkup - we just put it on the table and carried on.
Yes, I know how lucky I am.

My primary is OK with my KelTec P3AT in my pants pocket. She started out years ago asking if there were guns in the house on the yearly update form. I talked with her about it and it disappeared. The gun got discovered when they pulled a sudden do it now imaging on me and I had to empty my pockets. All I could do was say,"don't get worried". They said we're not. Yes, I am lucky, in today's world.
