It's not that I want to stop, it's more like I have or had every gun that I was interested in. Not to say I won't pick up a deal or something may catch my interest.

I tend to buy ammo more than guns lately, and shoot the few guns I have more.

Started to become a glass snob so that eats up the gun budget. But, 2019 will have a new bolt gun so hopefully that tides me over

It's not a quantity thing, it's a purpose fulfillment thing. Objectives of mine are:

    1. competitive shooting
    2. recreational w/ friends and family
    3. personal defense, usually EDC
    4. educational: historical, illustrative of action types and evolution thereof ex. M1 Garand, FAL, G3, AK, 1911, BHP, Henry, HK P7, etc.
    5. hunting (almost entirely out of state)
    6. family legacy building i.e. every kid will always have a .22, AR, and EDC pistol at minimum, then maybe .308 AR

Then ammo, optics, spare parts, etc. for each.

Multiply that times myself + wife + kid (currently just one) and future, well, that's a lot of buying/building to do. Nowhere near done. It's not a matter of am I tired of it, is the impulse gone, etc. It's what can I afford and what category is opportune to buy today. Also to put to regular use thereof so it's not expensive doorstop/trophy hoarding which is wasteful. There is no "just because".

Buying guns doesn't interest me as much as shooting them. I have a couple guns that have no purpose other than I always wanted one. The rest were bought to become proficient at a type of shooting. As an example, I don't have 10 shotguns. I have one. I bought it for sporting clays and turkey hunting. If I bought another one it would be for 3 gun. It doesn't interest me to collect firearms. I spend the majority of my money on ammunition and modifications to tailor a gun to my liking. I don't think I'll ever stop buying them. I just need a reason other than I don't have one of something.

I see what you did there.

Might as well face it, you're addicted to guns...

Or could you stop at anytime?
