Need Red Dot Recommendation
I just bought an AK-9 pistol. The sites are too low to get a proper sight picture if the Kak blade is shouldered. Any recommendations on a red dot tube sight? I'm looking for something similar in size/price to the Sig Romeo 5 or Vortex Sparc.

Aimpoint is excellent but it probably costs more than you want to spend.
How can you have any cookies if you don't drink your milk?

Have you looked at the new Primary Arms Cyclops? If you are not dead set on a tube style, the Holosun HS510 is really nice too.

Re: Need Red Dot Recommendation
I enjoy using my sparc II, does what its made to do and so far seems to hold up.
But, as always if you are going to be expecting mil quality or life depends on it sort of expectations, spend the coin for a quality one. If its a range toy etc, then the lower cost guys work great.Una Salus Victis Nullam Sperare Salutem

Re: Need Red Dot Recommendation
I second the sig Romeo 5 I have 2 and I love them , on the flip side I ordered this to try for the hell of it, price was right so was the warranty. Right now they have everything on sale for 10% off everything (code Laborday10) or $15% off of 150.00 or more (laborday15). Currently have one of their 2 stage triggers seems to work, and seem well made.

I can tell you the sig is perfect Wish I could tell you more about the at3 tactical set up but I haven't gotten it yet to put through the paces.
One more thing currently there's 20% off on Ebay for some items (code justrelax) they have some options for the sale like the vortex strikefire.
Kinda feel like I should be posting all this on the share deals too.
Here's another option

Big fan of the Holosun HS403B. What sold me was the auto on/off, battery life (5 years of continuous use) and it's parallax-free.

Re: Need Red Dot Recommendation
I have the Burris Fastfire 3 on my Beretta 92. Love it! A bit to get used to looking for the dot, but it has helped my shooting alot. I shoot at least once a week and have had the same battery in it for 2 1/2 years now. If I was gonna do it again I'd look at something with it built in as the FF does sit a bit high on the slide. You have to get an adapter plate for what ever hand gun you want to put it on. Just a note...On my 92 the plate inserts in the dove tail where the rear sight was. You can use it like that but I opted to have the slide drilled and tapped so the plate can't move.
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you want
