Anyone working as an "armed school police officer"?
I have been offered employment as an "Armed school police officer" by a private security company.
Before a month ago, I had not heard of such a position. It appears that it is somewhat more than an armed security position.
Act 235 is required, as well as being either an active or retired police officer.
If you have any insight into this position in Pa. I would like to hear what you have to say.
It sounds like a worthwhile opportunity and the pay scale if higher than any of the other armed positions I've seen in the last 6 or 8 months.
Thanks-

Make sure training isn't done through the Broward County Sheriff's office.
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Yeah, no.
Before I retired, it was common practice to hide the duds in the detective bureau, school resource office, traffic, Etc.
The company that extended the offer seemed to like resume- I wasn't a dud.
They seem to want someone who will aggressively seek out the threat and eliminate it.Crusader's local #556 South Central Asia chapter
