Outraged students flooded social media over the blatantly discriminatory policy by this Graduate Teaching Assistant. The university was contacted about what was happening in the class. The university immediately disciplined the TA, and removed them from the course as instructor. Then the school apologized succinctly to explain that the law and university policy supported CCW carriers and discrimination of this sort has no part in the university system.

I think its a win for the 2nd amendment in higher ed.

Utah has NO restriction of teachers carrying in public schools, IIRC.

Funny, liberals do something absurd then justify it by saying you are absurd. As for antisocial and frightening, what could be more social than having a means to protect your fellow classmates and teacher in a frightening gun free zone?

Sounds like the issue was addressed.

A concerned student brought the matter to a Utah state representative, who then publicized the issue, prompting university officials to overrule the instructor and reassign them to non-teaching duties for the rest of the semester.

Should have canned the jerk, and explained that "paychecks are reserved for TA's who respect the enumerated Constitutional rights of the students".

What is "psychological safety", exactly? Sounds like this person would enjoy their life far more in a place like California where 60% or 70% of the folks all enjoy the same phobias, and think it is their right to infringe mine instead of seeking appropriate counseling.
