I suspect the TA is going to find he/she isn't going to finish whatever graduate program they were in if teaching is a requirement of the degree. Likely will next see them in a black hoodie with the antifata crowd and other like minded creepers.

I would argue that the requirement, probably beyond a teacher's authority, would make me less safe by singling me out and letting prospective mass shooters know the location of gun carriers in each room in advance. This would also make others less safe as the carrier is more easily dispatched, control of the firearm is lost and the attack can continue unabated.
