Got denied for my 1st wmu choice got a 5c tag suggestion on any good spots guys?

In for this as I have a 5C as well. Longer season is a good thing.

Never put more than one WMU choice when you submit a doe tag. They will always give you a 5C/5D because it's a special regs WMU and there are more doe tags available in those units.

I never ask for a 5C tag because I wait until the over the counter starts on 8/27/18.

Lots of state game land to choose from. Unless you know someone with private land, you will probably be hunting on game land. If you are in shape and are willing to hike in...walk further than 300 yards from the parking areas and you should have some opportunities.

Theyre sold out...both 5c and 5d never happened before I have got to think that the treasurers are accepting nonresidents primarily over residents .:they make more money off of it $26.90 versus $6.90 PA Game Commission has to pay for the new unecessary suvs I guess.

Wow, that went quick. I got my 5c via mail. All you have to do is in 1st round unsold, apply for the WMU you want and send in the envelope. A few days later, send in another for 5C. Not an issue, worked for me as 5C is unlimited 1st round unsold then over the counter late that month as you know. That way you will get it, trust me, I'm a newbie as you all know and it worked fine for me. Technically you could send in 2 probably for 5c in different envelopes 1st round unsold and be fine as they are technically unlimited.
