my wife had been denied for not providing the berkheimer form.
getting them to take it wiithout was a good fight.
we didn't sue, was just testing the waters, submitted the denial and associated paperwork to prince's office for them to throw on the heaping pile of offenses in their lawsuit.
i heard the process was a bit easier after the perliminary injunction, guess not.
There is no way to make it out alive...

My renewal form no longer mentions the berkheimer or the need for a utility bill with your current address on it. All I need is my DL and refs.

I renewed on 8-16 in 15 mins. No DD 214, no Berkheimer form or tax return. Both of my references happen to be from Monroe. The clerks did tell another applicant that a new applicant rather than a renewal would have to wait for the background check.

So you left with your newly renewed LTCF within 15 minutes?

I have a feeling they will demand in county references, which is bullshit.

They can no longer do that. My wife applied earlier this year and used NJ references. All went smooth approved in 21 days

I received a reference request form in the mail for someone from Monroe county. It was manually dated on the letter and envelope from what looks to be a ball point pen. The date marked in pen was two days prior to the date on the post mark stamp from USPS.

The letter says that response must be received within 10 days. I am outside of the ten day period if you count 10 days from the written date on the envelope and letter, but within 10 days of the post mark, assuming the letter is picked up from the mail box and processed by tomorrow.

Could this be the reason for the denial for references not responding "in time"?

You should make a copy of everything before you mail it back in for your friend just in case they are denied there is proof that it was F'ed from the start.

Thank you, that is a good idea.
