Default Furniture Store Owner Fights Back Against Robbery

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/08/19...ianapolis.html

Good outcome all things considered. But the standout quote...

If you're shooting a .40-caliber, it's going to go through him, through this merchandise, through that window, and what's beyond that window
    I thought that was .45 and 10mm?

They just did a small feature on this on FOX.The store owner said that he knew that the robber's gun wasn't loaded the moment he cocked back the hammer.

Nah not a .45.. too fat and slow.. like being hit with a lead filled softball. Hence why many like to carry them, crap load of energy without being small, fast and over penetrating

how did he know there wasn't a round chambered in the bad guys pistol?

Also, sounds like a judicious use of force, as the store owner acted on the 4th rule of gun safety: 'know your target and the backstop'. The backstop as a kid in the street. Who ever argues that 'ordinary citizens aren't trained enough to carry guns', point to this story.

That's what I was wondering.... the only time I'd know for sure I'd have a little extra time to make a move is if it's a SAO pistol with the hammer down. Or a striker fired pistol with the trigger back.

He said he knew by the sound of the racking of the slide.

Speaking of furniture stores; what is the title of the person in charge of furniture sales?
Answer; the chairman. ( get it?)
