Chicago residents who legally want to purchase a firearm has a bunch of hoops they have to jump through in order to get their firearm. Illinois has a bunch of gun control laws that one has to meet first. Then Cook County has their additional gun control laws that have to be met and then Chicago has even more gun control ordinances. A legal gun purchaser has to clear all three hurdles.

Yet, Chicago is still the gun violence capital of the United States with some weekends seeing as many as 70 shootings and multiple people killed. Police have admitted that the bulk of the shootings are gang related and the guns are obtained illegally, but in the true sense of an Obamanite Democrat, Mayor Rahm Emanuel is calling for more gun control.

how about instead of paddy wagons for the cops, "Vasectomy vans", found with an illegal gun in the hood, get snipped. Mine only lasted about a half hour. In a generation or two the problem should go away

Civilians (kids) caught in the crossfire is tragic... however, why does everyone get so uptight about these gang thug on gang thug shootings?

Seems to me the criminal justice system/tax payers are saving money when thugs kill each other.
