Read this with USCCA and I like the meaning:
Carrying an unloaded gun for security, is like driving without a seatbelt, thinking you will have time to securely put it on before impact.

Not that I'm advocating carrying an unloaded gun, but I find it amusing how we tend to say things like you have here... and in the next breath, talk about the millions of annual defensive displays of firearms often being enough to end the encounter.

An unloaded gun may be a paperweight, but for the VAST MAJORITY of encounters, it's all one needs. Again, not that I'm advocating such a mode of carry.

And when the display of the firearm *isn't* enough, then what? "I will taunt you a second time"? Nope. Not I.

How do you know this in advance of the circumstances?

With all respect, you gotta put your crack pipe down...

My life never goes to the "majority."

    I'll keep on carrying +1.

I have never advocated for defensive display of firearms.

My belief is when you draw your firearm you best be ready to pull the trigger.
If when you draw the threat ceases, don't fire unless you wish to go to jail - like the guy in Florida
Each and every encounter will be different for each individual.
But if you draw and the threat continues you MIGHT have time to chamber, you most likely will not have time to clear a FTF.. I am 100% in the camp of one in the tube when carrying my firearm

    Sgt.K, bamboomaster, bluetrane2028, Parrisk:

Two of the three sentences in my post stated that I was not advocating for unloaded carry. Somehow, you all missed two-thirds of my post.

    /sigh

Heaven forbid someone point out an actual fact. YOU STATED A FACT! YOU MUST BE ON CRACK!

Had the home owner fired a loaded revolver injuring or killing the naked man, home owner might not have fared well when all the other circumstances came to light.

I was merely addressing the same points as you. I don't miss much. But thanks for playing.
