And over in Merry Olde England
https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/lat...ngland-uk-news
TEN people are being treated for gunshot wounds following a shooting in the Moss Side area of Manchester.
Police were alerted to the shooting at about 2.30am on Sunday morning after shots were heard on Claremont Road. A “large number” of armed and unarmed officers raced to the street where they found several people suffering from gunshot wounds. It happened after the popular Caribbean Carnival of Manchester took place on Saturday. Paramedics took the victims – including two children – to a nearby hospital where they are being treated for minor and critical injuries. Police confirmed they have not been made any arrests and are still trying to catch the shooter.

I’d be pretty concerned if I was among the “unarmed” Officers who raced TO the scene.

Thank goodness that gun control prevents this kind of shit.

This happened in New Zealand (2009), serving a cannabis search warrant, while being unarmed, the home owner goes all Rambo.
A movie was made about the events; https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2228902/

Sounds like another lesson to avoid celebrations in “vibrant” neighborhoods.

Re: And over in Merry Olde England
I read the news today. The emergency responders apparently stayed away until they were certain it was over. Glad to see this got posted here so we can discuss it. The BBC has this tendency to bury news quickly when it doesn't fit a particular social agenda.
Expect this not to be labeled a mass shooting because... well it's the UK and that doesn't happen here because our gun laws are so strict.
