The standard turn around time has been 30-40 days. I received mine in 32 days and two friends go theirs in 34 days. These times will depend on how busy the ATF is, if you have any issues or if your CLEO gets involved. I would bet they charge your CC right away so they make sure they get paid up front.

    just under 30 days....
I actually got my ATF package with the books a few days before the actual license came. When you get it remember don't sign the original!!! It's great to have....send signed copies to every dealer you can find and also to Midway USA....it makes buying at a gunshow about a 2 minute transaction!!!

ATF is usually very quick about cashing your check. Your license will take about 30 days to issue if your experience is anything similar to mine.

berks county isnt bad they never give any problems with anything firearm related, the sheriff is pro gun and berks even went to same day LTC, you walk in and can walk out with it. it just kinda shocked me that in 3 days they ran my CC already. I dont really plan on buying much with it, its jut someting nice to have around, I need to get a binder yet to keep records in there for them yet just in case.

He's talking about a C&R Type 03 FFL issued by the ATF, not an LTC. ATF works on a different time schedule, measured in how much they can get away with by law

You don't need LEO signoff for a C&R, you just have to inform them of your application. I sent mine certified mail so that I had a record that it was actually send in case ATF comes knocking.

Like the above poster said, no need to take it anywhere to get signed, just have to send the chief law enforcement officer of your area his/her copy and I put a letter in with mine as well.
In my case it was the county sheriff. If you live in a borough, it may be the police chief there.
When I wanted to get mine I called the state police (since i was told that i should send it to the police force that would come if I called for help) and they told me to send it to my county sheriff.

ya I just sent mine into the sheriff of berks county, to the same address I sent my LTC, on the berks county sheriffs web page it states that the dept takes care of all firearm related issues, LTC, FFL.
