Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: BYSTANDER STUPIDITY REGARDING O/C AT WALMART !
I OC a lot, and standing in a line at a store is always a time when I see who's behind me, and I usually rest my elbow on the heel of the pistol.
I've never had to respond to someone actually touching the pistol.

Re: BYSTANDER STUPIDITY REGARDING O/C AT WALMART !
Interestingly, I actually busted someone doing just this. I'm in this habit as well, of resting my elbow on my pistol when not in motion. If you're walking, it's easier to get a sense of spacial relations because things change against the backdrop, but when you stop and stand somewhere like in line at the store or on a street corner waiting for a light, resting the elbow on the heel of the holstered weapon is like having an additional layer of physical retention.
Anyway, I was at the farmer's market and it was pretty cramped quarters, and as a result I was being very conservative of movement when possible. I was resting my elbow on it when I felt it move forward, and I snapped around.
An elderly woman had poked the magazine plate in passing, and, startled at my immediate reaction, looks up at me and goes, "do you really think that's necessary?"
She was informed rather sternly that this was not an acceptable thing to do. Neither she nor her husband liked it, but they did not reply to me forthwith.Junior
