Do you look paranoid, or do you just stand up straight and make eye contact with everyone, while leaning into the candy rack?

Or make conversation in the checkout line. No one notices if you're shielding a piece when you're talking to the person in front of and behind you.

Vigilance takes into account what other people see, paranoia is just what you perceive.

If someone can touch your OC without you knowing, you're doing something really wrong.
And when the line is out past the candy rack? Do you step out of the line so you can watch the people ahead of and behind you at the same time? How about when you're walking down a crowded aisle? Do you spin around like a ballerina so you can watch everyone at once? Sorry, but anybody who says they have 100% awareness of everything 360 degrees around them for every second is not being realistic.

I'm sure the guy in the OP should have done a better job, but nothing is 100%.

No one is 360 100% of the time.

But in a checkout line when you know you have someone on your six? Yes.

But up a grocery aisle, looking behind you and in front of you isn't weird. "I'm just a dude, my wife sent me with a shopping list, I'm lost" and no one will question you, they'll just tell you where the bread is while blessing your heart - and you're the grey man the entire time.

I have never had a bystander try to touch my carry gun.

    I don't OC.

    Probably unrelated.

Walking through Wally World my right arm is hanging straight down with the elbow touching the handgun's heel, not too much unlike Vladimir Putin's "gunslinger walk".

I watch a few 24 hour stores. So many people are guilty of this walk and probably dont even know they are doing it. It is easy to spot if you are a people watcher. I am guilty as well.
