So I’m undecided what to get. I like the SR22, M&P22 compact but also the Ruger mk4 is an option as well. It’s primarily gonna be a plunked but I’ll be shooting squirrels and stuff in my yard. I’m waiting for a silencerco spectre 2 that I should see around Sept. give me some opinions

You'll get a lot of opinions, however I've been shooting Ruger Mks for decades, and you won't find a better plinking pistol anywhere. I haven't had a Mk 4 (yet) but I do remember reading that there were some issues with it. The others are bullet proof, no pun intended.

I'm in the same boat. My stamp should come in sometime around November/December.

I have it narrowed down to the Mark IV or the S&W Victory.

I have the M&P22 and while I like it, it's super finicky with ammo when I have my can attached - not so much without in its base configuration. That said I'm actually looking at picking up a MK4 for reliability purposes. I liked the fact that the M&P had a similar feel to the Glocks that I typically shoot.

The fixed the issues. So newer models sold after the end of 2017 won't have them and Ruger has recalled and fixed those that were sent back.

I shoot my M&P suppressed quite a bit; very good option.

Disclaimer - I'm a Ruger fan and collector. I would go with a threaded MkIV or 22/45 Lite. In my experiences both will shoot just about any ammo you put through it however, you will still want to try different types and see which gives the best accuracy. That said, I know people who have S&W Victorys or the Brownings and they love them.
