Default Hidden Gun Storage Box / Wall Hanger

Shameless plug for some friends of mine that have an Etsy shop. They are making some very nice hidden storage boxes geared towards putting a pistol in. This is the cheapest I've seen this type of item and the custom monogram looks very nice. I haven't seen them up close in person yet, but wanted to share this with everyone.

It's a husband and wife basement operation so if you're in the market for this type of thing, send some business their way! They are based out of Boyertown, PA.

The chalk-board version looks useful and convincing. Thanks for sharing.

I'd buy one, but I'd have to explain to guests what a "Destafney" is.

Seriously, thanks for the link! I like them.

Wouldn't the depth of these make them somewhat obvious? I've never seen one in person, but I'm underwhelmed.

If you note your order correctly for the custom painting, you'll only have to explain what a "Zark" is .

The security level is quite low, especially if you have kids. To be honest I wouldn't keep a loaded firearm in it. I view it as a cool item that you can keep something in that's a little James Bond-ey. That said, I bet most people would not think anything of it at a quick glance.

Can I get, "No gun in here" put on it?

If they made that base 14" wide or so it would fit between the studs and the frame could sit flush on the wall, then it would be less conspicuous.

With a little thought and know how, one could cut a hole in the sheetrock, preferebly between two studs and mount it a little proud, so as to allow the lid to slide open...now, that wasn't too painful, was it?
