Access to 3-D Guns Blocked in PA

The way I read it the Philadelphia Federal Court is banning ONLY this single company "Defense Distributed" from distributing these open source files to Pennsylvania. The ban does not legally block the rest of the country from sharing these same files to PA; nor does it ban the state residents from acquiring these files. Seems odd to me that a single company is banned from an action that the rest of the country can legally participate in. Either way as of Wednesday unless something federally bans everyone from distributing the files anywhere, these files are available to everyone! And I had no interest in this previously but ready and willing to participate in the file sharing now just cause this pisses me off...

Why did DD roll over like this? Especially on the PA thing just because Shapiro wanted PA access stopped. Sounds like there was absolutely no legal blocking of PA residents. Unless a Sunday emergency hearing and filing a lawsuit accomplishes that immediately. I'm no lawyer but I wouldn't think so.

I imagine that they cut a deal. Agree to remove PA from your distribution list and we won't try to get the injunction to be nationwide. It'll only be for PA. That way you can still operate your business and make money, just not in PA.

DD may just be biding time and keeping their cards close to their chest before challenging the ruling. Or, maybe not.

are they concerned prohibited people are going to stop buying illegal guns & fabricate them instead?

if it is already illegal for felons to possess firearms, these restrictions only affect law abiding citizens.

there is no evidence that making plastic guns is going to change the average law abiding citizens & gun owners into a rabid murderous junkies...
