TAURUS FIREARMS !
Have several friends that for lack of some $$ Buy Taurus, their favorite are the Revolvers from the 1980s along with their better functioning semi auto 92s in particular . One of my favorites was the model 85 SS 5 shot revolver with a bright finish worked for me.Any members collect Taurus and not just for fishing sinkers ?

Re: TAURUS FIREARMS !
I bought one of the 809's on closeout for $230, I've put 1000 rounds through it so far. You could feel how sluggish the action was at first, partially due to lack of lube and partially because the ammo I was using has unusually rough cases. After I started greasing it pretty heavily that went away. Its pretty accurate but even after shooting a case of ammo it still hasn't grown on me.

Re: TAURUS FIREARMS !
I like the older revolvers, and even newer ones aren't bad! Won't touch a striker fired - just because of personal bad experience and other stories. As you mentioned 92 are good seeing they were basically Beretta's with different stamping, so I have always been ok with them and have always heard decent reviews of their 1911's. If a good older revolver comes up at a good price, I always jump on it. My shop let me know today they have a beautiful ss 85 with wood grips that I would have jumped on but I already have the exact same gun ( not that that has ever stopped be before ) !

I owned a Model 85 and 85 ultra lite. Both performed flawlessly.

I carried a stainless 5 shot on my own time for many years, never had a problem.
I can't speak to the current reliability or quality. How can you have any cookies if you don't drink your milk?

The PT 111 G2 is probably one of the if not the best budget concealed carry/Self defense pistols on the market today.
