Camo Dipping Questions

Looking at camo dipping a gun stock of mine using this DIY camo dip kit - www.camodipkit.com

Has anyone here tried this? How hard is it to get a decent finish? I am just gonna try the $59 starter kit in Realtree

I’ve seen it done. It either looks on or looks like shit.

I was watching Youtube videos on DIY hydrodipping a while back. I might try it sometime. Same concept. Doesn't look hard but you do just get one chance to not screw it up.

I use torn tape to make patterns and use camo spray paint from Walmart. First you put down a base coat and then place the tape on the base coat. Then paint the next color and again tape over, repeat until you have used the colors you want. let it dry and then peel away. The patterns will emerge when the tape is removed.
