    Default Ground Blind Questions

What if you wanted to waterproof a ground blind as well as put permethrin on it? What would be the order of application? I assume the permethrin first so it can soak in and then you put the waterproof on after the permethrin dries? Any reccomendations on a waterproof spray?

I want to do both to my ground blind that’s my question. Also, do you spray the inside is well with the permethrin?

Why not just put the permethrin on your clothing? You aren't planning to wear the blind while you walk in to your stand site are you?

I would waterproof the blind first, so the fabric absorbs the waterproofing, then apply permethrin. If the waterproofing forms a film over the permethrin, ticks won't be exposed to it and it won't be effective.

    This

Make sure you leave plenty of time for the scent of the waterproofing to fade before you intend to use it.

It is July and you don't have this done yet? Falling behind the power curve hoss..

Water proof and Permethrin inside otherwise it will wash off 1st rain. Just don't hang out inside the day you use the Permethrin

I have never looked into ground blinds, but I am surprised that they are not already waterproof. What sort of fabric is it? Some sort of nylon I assume?

For the record, unless you are an ADHD type who cant sit still, I would bag the blind as being just one more thing to haul in/out of the woods.....unless you have a spot where you can leave it semi-permanently.
