    Default Remington 870

My shop has one of these - looks amazing with the wood furniture ! I already have the shockwave but wish I had this one instead! Don't really need two of this style shotgun but not sure how long I can hold off - looks so nice !

Nice. I've had an 870 since I started hunting at 28. It was my first hunting longarm. A more sturdy shotgun cannot be had for the money, if at all. I retired mine from waterfowl to home defense and put a smooth bore slug barrel with iron sights on it as well as an extended magazine and filled it with slug and buck. Since I picked up another shotgun for HD, I may reconfigure it for goose again.

I've seen the Shockwaves before and wasn't all hot and bothered by it, although your 870 is awfully nice. I've always liked the look of the Mossberg 500 JIC in desert camo, even though I've never been a fan of Mossberg's safety switch location and overall "rattle-iness". I have a buddy who waterfowls a lot and swears by his 500.

ETA: Is there some legal allure to Shockwave-style shotguns?

I think that some folks are thinking that they are getting a legal sawed off shotgun.

Does not look fun to shoot...recoil can't be pleasant.

So is it a TAC 14 with wood added? Is there a mag tube extension or is that just a bit longer because of the sling attachment?
