I would suggest deleting this post, as individuals have previously been prosecuted for carrying/possessing monkey fists as a prohibited offensive weapon.

I asked a friend in LE and was advised that monkey fist were not illegal in PA.

I removed the thread, but I checked with another LE friend and he's been in LE for 20+ years. He also said in PA that it's not illegal. I am replying not to start an argument, but that's two LE that said it's not illegal to possess.

I used to be good with the monkey fist but it was attached to the end of a messenger line that we would put over onto a pier when berthing.

Cops and gun store owners are the WRONG people to ask if something is legal.

The lawyer already chimed in. Take it as the best you are gonna get, or feel free to go do dumb things where you GOTTA hire a lawyer.
