    Default Applying for LTCF Chesco

Hey guys, brand new member here. Lots of great info on this forum. Keep it up! I'm about to leave work a bit early so I can hit the Sheriffs office in WC before they close and hand in my app for my first LTCF. Application is filled out, no foreseeable issues. I've skimmed through a lot of topics about this, but I haven't seen a lot of talk about our current Sheriff Welsh? Has anything changed with the procedure over the last few years or should I know what to expect?

Mine went smoothy a year ago. Just make sure your mailing address is not a po box. If it is, you'll have to pick it up back there in WC. Mine took 15 days. Good luck and welcome to the funny farm.😀

renewed mine about a month ago, took about 10 minutes maybe and I walked out with a brand new card. Don't know if they issue immediately for new applications. Everything was smooth. Make sure you have the final page of the application (with all the statutes and laws that it lists). They got fussy with me for my initial application 5 years ago because I didn't print that page.

Nice to hear that re-new is quick but initial app takes a while and Sherrif Bunny Welsh is a good person from my friends that know her. Chester County is a great place to live. Got 59 years here.

    Are you a KOTOR fan?

Bunny Welsh is pro 2nd. I dealt with the office years ago for my Utah fingerprints and was in and out in no time.

Speaking as a transplant from NY about 14 months ago, the licensing process here in PA is refreshingly decisive and expedited. I applied with no foreseen problems and was approved and had my LTCF in hand in less than 2 weeks. From everything I've read & seen Sheriff Welsh is a 2a supporter/upholder.

So went through security, no issues of course. Walked left up to the Sheriff's Office, and gave an officer my application. I handed all three sheets to him and he handed me the top sheet back, saying the last two were the only ones he needed. Everything was filled out. The only slight snag was that I didn't specify what state I was born in. I just wrote "West Chester". So, he asked about it and I specified. After that I signed the pad, had my photo taken, and he gave me a receipt and said they have 45 days, and thanked me for applying!

Yes sir, definitely a KOTOR fan. Decided to play through my second time with the character name "Not Revan". It made for some really funny dialogs late game, and the name just caught on to me.
