    Default Range usage permit

As a licensed individual in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, am I required to buy a state game land range usage permit for 30.00 or is the pistol license
    sufficient?

    Thank you

A License to Carry a Firearm has nothing to do with PA Game Commission..

You must buy a range permit or hunting license. Also be very aware of the rules at the range as to ammo, how much in magazines, rapid fire.. etc tickets can get pricey

    This.

Personally I wouldn't even bother. There's so many stupid rules on the state ranges it's not even worth the effort unless you literally just want to fire a few shots to sight in your rifle for hunting season.

Club memberships are cheap. That 30.00 license fee will pay for a year of club membership around here.

If you are a senior and bonafide resident of PA. the hunting license fee is $ 13.90 so you can hunt and use the gun ranges !

Yes, it's cheaper to buy a hunting license but make sure you had hunter ed or risk a fine http://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.php?t=336158

Your LTCF has nothing to do with hunting or range permit. Get a license.

Now you just have to get out of a communist state, pass through a communist state with weapons to get to a semi-free state to shoot.

If you went the Hunting License route instead of the Range Permit route, you'd probably first have to complete the Hunter Safety Course (is it 16 hours?). If you manage to get a Hunting License without the Hunter Safety Course, the fines can add up. You can take the course on-line (it ain't free), but that's the way I went. Got a nifty little card to stick in my wallet saying I'm copacetic.
