Default H&K VP 9 Are There Any Changes Since Introduced?

I'm looking for a VP 9 and see that they are not too hard to come by. The question that I have is...are there any improvements from the factory since they were introduced? I mean like trigger and function problems. Not like compact, tactical, etc. If so how critical are they?

    None to my knowledge.

The trigger is certainly an interesting topic. Many reviews note the trigger as a particularly good one for a striker-fired gun. I tend to agree. OTOH, it's the first mod many owners make... I recently had the chance to shoot one with an aftermarket trigger (lighter) and actually preferred stock. Despite the harder pull, I felt the stock trigger broke cleaner and had a better-defined reset (I always lean toward a reset I can 'feel' versus shorter but less obvious).

They went with a heavier weight for the recoil spring in the 9mm pistols. I think the new spring has white paint on it.

My Glock went into retirement after I bought one. Get one, you won't be sorry.

I picked up a used one at Tanners a few weeks ago..... Never shoulda had them take it out of the case.... It REALLY fits
My Hand well.... I immediately bonded with it.... And it followed me home.... I havent shot it yet, but expect good things....
I may ditch the "charge with a flashlight, night sights" in favor of some real tritium ones.... But figure I'll get to know it first.....

I was the same. As soon as it got in my hand I knew I was gonna buy it. Just holds/fit nice. Quite accurate too. A little large for concealment but I don't care.

That is what the VP9SK is for.

I know, I just never seen one. Someday I'll see one and it will follow me home.

There's also now the VP9-B with a push-button mag release instead of the euro-style one.
