Dennis Todd is a real nice Fella.... You can usually find him at the big gun shows..... Classic Pistol in Southampton, are good guys as well, and have a decent "stock" of suppressors in store, to look over....
A Templar is truly a fearless knight, and secure on every side, for his soul is protected by the armor of faith, just as his body is protected by the armor of steel.
Big whoop, I'm spooning a Barret .50 Cal...... I could like kill a building.....

Getting serious now. I am thinking about getting some sort of suppressor to include in my home defense system.

I currently have an alarm system, steel doors and have dowels set to secure my sash windows. I have a plan for any sign of forced entry to include a safe location to retreat, a cell phone, a N frame S&W revolver and a 20 gauge shotgun within arms reach in my bed room. I also have a pair of electronic ear protectors to use if time permits.

Firing any non-suppressed weapon in either of my small bed rooms would effect my hearing for a time. With that in mind I am considering a 22lr or 9mm suppressed pistol.

How much of a hassle is it to get through the process in Philadelphia?

If you have experience I'd appreciate hearing about.

I should add that I do live in an area with a lot of crime. I don't leave the house w/o a primary and back up gun.
I have to agree with the others that said you may want to consider moving.
If you absolutely need to live there, then a review of your security shows a lack of window bars.
If the neighborhood is as bad as you say then a pinned window isn't going to keep someone out.
You should seriously consider code approved window bars.

Alternatively you could hire my girlfriend for security.
But if something happens you will have a hell of a time cleaning up the arterial blood splatter and severed body parts.
It would probably just be easier to move.

Find a silencer shop dealer with a kiosk.
    Buy online
Do your prints at the kiosk
    Wait for call.
    Wait some more
    Get more impatient.
    Get call from dealer
    Go pick up.
    Pew pew pew

I bought my 338 can from the can

I once saw her lunge at a guy that outweighed her by 100 pounds.
I just get out of her way and wait for the call for cleanup in aisle 5.

He isn’t either. If he was I would hope he’d have a rifle. OP doesn’t specify but I carry a 640 and an naa 22, that’s 2 guns and not over kill by any stretch.

Check out the bunker gun shop. They are full service NFA.
