How so? The NRA is a one trick pony that's slowed the erosion of gun rights. Cody Wilson has a plan to pass along firearms knowledge in a future where guns might not be legal and also to people living in countries where guns are already illegal. In my opinion, Wilson's plan is more comprehensive and all encompassing than what the NRA has to offer.

I have not been keeping up with the technology. 3D Printers are much cheaper than I realized. A nice one costs less than some ARs.

Very important development.
Essentially the government was saying person A cannot teach person B how to build a gun while utilizing arbitrary technology.
Need to give credit to the Second Amendment Foundation (Alan Gottlieb) for helping to make this happen.
The SAF may not be perfect but they have done a lot of good work over the years.

A digital file is not a physical gun, so plans for one should not be illegal. He's not distributing actual firearms.

How long would a 3D-printed AR lower actually last? It could turn lowers into a replaceable, almost disposable component that you just replace (re-print) when it wears out.
