While I would love the absolute shitstorm Barrett's nomination would create, I think it'd be better to hold her off until RBG or sotomayer croaks, THEN nominate her. I'm in the Hardiman camp at this point. He lost out to Gorsuch, but barely.

Many SCOTUS rulings have been overturned later. Roe did not reverse any previous ruling, so if it were reversed, it would be no different than all of the previous overturned cases. I'm not aware of any SCOTUS rulings that were reversed, then reversed again back to the original ruling. A reversal of Roe would not be that either.

I get the impression some people want Barrett because of her religious affiliation and her suspected anti abortions views. However it’s a mystery how pro second amendment she is. The next second amendment cases that are likely to be brought before the court are semi auto bans limitations, and bump stock bans therefore I would like to know if she is likely to decide in our favor on those issues if she would be nominated.

I like Mike, but if he nominates him, they lose one senate vote for confirmation, which with the slim margins may not be a good thing.

He is allowed to vote for himself because he is still a Senator at that point in time and there is no rule that he can not vote for himself.
