SIG P220 9mm
I turned down buying a mint German Sig P220 in 9mm today - am I stupid ? I never knew the 220 came in 9mm. It was mint. I have been trying to stay strong though seeing I just bought a car and went too far - but what the heck, you only live once - lol.

Re: SIG P220 9mm
The Sig P-220 was originally sold as the Browning BDA in the late 70s , but it still had the Euro-style heel mag catch. It was available in 9mm Para , .38 Super and .45 ACP.

Re: SIG P220 9mm
Thanks. When I saw the box and the P220 I immediately thought it was a 45 - was surprised finding out it was 9mm - and yes, heel mag catch. I was almost going to grab it but was strong - lol.

Tell me it isn't so! Next thing you know I will hit it big in the lottery. The odds are about the same.

Price still matters. Maybe they were asking too much.
IANAL. I don't give legal advice. I'm only stating my OPINION.
(Did I really need to say that on an Internet forum? LOL)

Re: SIG P220 9mm
There were two versions of the 9x19 P220, one had contoured front upper corners on the slide and it made the pistol look goofy, and the second version eliminated the unsightly bevels, and it appears just like a .45 P220. Both versions had the mag release in the heel of the grip. Here is a photo of a realistic prop gun based on the 9mm P220:
If the pistol was in VG-Excellent condition, any price under $450 is a smoking good deal, even for the fugly contoured-slide version.
The problem with these 9mm P220s is that the magazines are unobtanium, and it's a physically big pistol for low capacity single-stack 9mm. Think: A single-stack low-cap P226.

$600 - that's why I passed. wasn't "smoking deal" imo. I've seen them sell on GB for more, but still wasn't good enough for me to jump.
