Ended up with a Wasr, under budget. Got a decent deal for it and it doesn’t seem to have any of the bad things that people say with Wasr. Gonna take it out to the range today.

Yes gone forever are the days of the Romanian GP parts kits for 80 bucks, stamped receivers were what 35 or so? Rivet or weld the thing together and you had a good AK for $125 ahhhhhh the good ole days.

Haha yes. I took it out yesterday evening. I got it out to 50 yards. Not 100 yards. Front post was ever so slightly canted to the left which I knew before hand but zeroed it best I could. I say best I could because it isn’t the most accurate rifle. But I’m used to my ARs and hunting rifles. Sometimes it shot to the left sometimes to the right others it was right on.

I also was using Steel cased Tulammo. Which it ate the hell out of with not one hick up.

I’m happy with it.

Okay, I bought an AK today. Brought it home. Opened the box and removed everything from it to clean it. I then found this hiding in the box more of less



No idea what is it, I know it’s probably to something I just don’t know what. It’s my first AK.

Contrary to internet folklore the mighty AK needs to be cleaned like every other rifle that has dirt and ingress points.

I have had a couple AK variants.. and .. meh..

Now I really love my new toy.. a nice SKS with a bullpup kit.. look into a SKS.. bullpup kits by SGS are $300. fun build
