    Default Gun Shop Burglaries

It seems like there have been a rash of gun shop burglaries lately, the latest one in East Earl, Lancaster County.

Yes, at least three. I recall a few hood rats from Harrisburg were joyriding in a stolen car down 83 a few months ago. They scattered like roaches when pulled over, but the police found a few of the Trop guns in the car:

That was the sportsman’s shop. Last Saturday they had a big open to the public free shoot with many venders, colt, Glock, etc. I bet the thieves were there to check out the place.

When I worked for a small gun shop, we had to place all handguns in safes every night. Some of the expensive long guns were also put in safes. Is this not standard practice for all gun shops?

Apparently not but if it was my shop it would be.

ETA: I'd have some of the best quality surveillance equipment in place too.

It seems like they're all happening in or around Lancaster County too.

Trop's in neighboring Lebanon County I believe. They got hit twice!

A small, newly-changed ownership shop in York was recently robbed too. I went in to check it out and he apologized for his available inventory in the cases saying he was just robbed. This was probably in April.

The spokesman shop has good people, they also get new guns before a lot of other places and they don’t gouge. Ammo is a little high but I buy some there for convenience.

I think our area is targeted because the gun shops don’t look like jails as they do closer to the urban shit holes. I do remember thieves ripping off the bars with a truck several months back.

Can you get me one of those guns that you shoot sideways? I've seen them in the movies, but my gun shop never has any in stock.
