When asked if I have any firearms to check it's an easy question to answer. "No, nothing for you to check."

What they don't know won't hurt them. Should they ask about the bulge in my pocket.... I'm happy to see them.

You think there is such a thing as an accidental discharge?

I'm not so sure trusting them not to pull out a loaded gun and dick around with it checking the "fit" of a holster, or "showing" it to a vendor looking to make a trade is the wisest move.
Common sense would say: if you're going to be coon fingering your blaster, you shouldn't have it loaded; maybe bring it in in a small, locked case if you insist on having it AND a loaded lead pill dispenser.

But then, as they say, common sense isn't so common.

Used to go to Leesports shows awhile back, amazing how many people had to use the bathroom right after they got their gun ziptied.

If you're gonna be playing with your firearm , showing it off or testing out accessories or possibly looking to trade/sell it , UNLOAD THE FUCKING THING!
I was at the Oaks show a few years back, At a table looking at a few Garands. a fella walks up and says to the dealer I have an old pistol Id like to sell, He pulls out a pristine P08 Luger holster from a small back pack and hands it to the dealer. He then says "my father just passed away and this was in his dresser drawer. The dealer opens the holster and sure enough a nice Luger is in it, asked the guy if its loaded and he says "my dad would never keep a loaded gun in the house" sure as shit the dealer pulls the pistol out hits the mag release out pops a full mag, toggles the action and a 9mm ejects
I look at the dealer and we just look at each other in disbelief, what a friggin idiot, wonder how long he was carrying it around like that, didnt stay to watch the rest, but Id of liked to have met him earlier to offer him $200 for that "old pistol"
Im sure this happens alot at the shows

At our gun show we only require zip ties on guns that are being sold by customers due to the potential number of people handing the weapon. Carry guns are not zip tied.

3 cops at the gun check/zip-tie table at Oaks on Friday. All looked like they were born long after I had my first LTCF.

Who says those cops are any more qualified to handle firearms than me? Cops have a very high percentage of accidental and negligent discharges.

Remember the PASP Sgt and firearms safety instructor who shot his pregnant wife in the head while cleaning his gun?
