Ummm, because John Moses Browning said that’s how it is to be carried.

Dust off the other wheelbarrow and use it, until your attorney gets the other one released from police custody.

That was true long before this thread happened.

I build a site picture by juggling focus on the back sites, front sites and the target. While doing this I take up the slack.

Seriously? I don't see any record of it. The Israelis used everything and anything.

However how do you explain their continuation of this policy? Israelis should be seeking to take every advantage, so why continue using condition 3 carry?

The Makarov is drop safe. I tried this test a short while ago.

    https://projects.nfstc.org/firearms/...m08_t09_08.htm

I used cardboard instead of rubber over a concrete floor in a garage. Garage floor don't have a bunch of give to them. I used a fired round with a civilian primer, which should be easier to set off than a Russian military primer. The firearm was obviously clear in the chamber and no magazines were used.

Drops were done on the muzzle, back, both sides and top and bottom. The firearm did not discharge with either the hammer back or forwards, safety off.

To prove that the primer was good I discharged the empty round in a safe direction. It went "bang".

I'm sure since that poor Makarov was bouncing in every direction that the Alinski Chorus here, which seeks to make all live up to their own rules, will now feel safe to proclaim that pointing firearms at people you just want to scare is cool. I hope to hear amusing stories of you folks screaming "Stop or I'll shoot!" at targets.

I prefer sugar cereals like Cocoa Pebbles or Fruity Pebbles.
Sometimes when I run out I will have Rice Krispies with sugar sprinkled on top.
It's a pretty good replacement but it's not exactly the same.
